Warranty Policy

At String Power, we stand behind the products we sell and want you to enjoy your instrument, bow, or case with confidence.

Unless otherwise stated, String Power provides a one-year limited warranty from the original date of purchase. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

Instruments

The String Power one-year limited warranty covers defects affecting the instrument body and the following components:

  • Bridges
  • Pegs
  • Chinrests
  • Endpins
  • Tailpieces

Strings are not covered by this warranty.

If a covered replacement part is unavailable, String Power reserves the right to replace it with a functioning like-kind part of comparable purpose.

What is not covered?

The warranty does not cover damage or problems resulting from:

  • Neglect
  • Misuse or improper use
  • Physical abuse or accidental damage
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Instrument adjustments or routine maintenance
  • Repairs or attempted repairs performed by anyone other than String Power
  • Exposure to excessive heat, cold, dryness, moisture, or sudden environmental changes
  • Open seams

Open seams can occur naturally in string instruments, particularly when an instrument is exposed to changes in temperature or humidity. Seam openings are therefore not covered under this warranty.

How should I protect my instrument?

To help prevent cracks, open seams, and other damage caused by environmental conditions, we recommend maintaining a relative humidity level of 45%–65%.

Keep your instrument in an environment between 60°F and 85°F whenever possible, and avoid sudden changes in temperature or humidity.

Never leave your instrument in a hot or cold vehicle for extended periods.

Bows

The String Power one-year limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

What is covered?

The warranty covers defects in the bow subject to the terms and exclusions below.

Bow hair is not covered, except for problems related to the original hair installation.

What is not covered?

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Bow hair, except for installation-related issues
  • Neglect
  • Misuse or improper use
  • Physical abuse or accidental damage
  • Repairs or attempted repairs performed by the customer or an unauthorized dealer
  • Warping caused by temperature or humidity
  • Damage to the bow's finish

Wooden bows naturally react to changes in temperature and humidity. Exposure to extreme or rapidly changing environmental conditions can cause a bow to warp. Bow warping is not covered by this warranty.

To help protect your bow:

  • Maintain a relative humidity level of 45%–65%
  • Keep the bow in an environment between 60°F and 85°F
  • Always loosen the bow after playing
  • Never store the bow while it is tightened

Leaving a bow tightened for extended periods can increase the risk of warping.

Cases

The String Power one-year limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

The warranty covers defective cases for one year from the date of purchase. At String Power's discretion, a defective case may be repaired or replaced.

What is not covered?

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Neglect
  • Misuse or improper use
  • Physical abuse or accidental damage

The String Power warranty covers the case itself. It does not cover damage to instruments, bows, or other personal property stored or transported inside the case.
