The K550 August F. Kohr Advanced Viola is a serious step-up instrument for advancing players seeking greater tonal depth, projection, and responsiveness. Better-quality tonewoods and carefully hand-graduated plates give this viola an open, resonant sound with a rich medium voice.
Its powerful projection, balanced tone, and quick response make it well suited for orchestral, chamber, and solo playing. Well-flamed maple and choice spruce are complemented by an elegant medium-satin finish ranging from red-brown to golden brown.
