The Maggini Core Select Advanced Cello offers a truly distinctive design with a longer outline, broad shoulders, elongated f-holes, and traditional double purfling. Inspired by Giovanni Paolo Maggini of Brescia, Italy, this model reflects an influential school of instrument making that predates Stradivari and Guarneri by nearly a century.
The generous Maggini pattern works especially well for the cello, producing an exceptionally rich lower register and impressive tonal depth throughout its full range. Aged tonewoods and classical European construction techniques give the instrument a resonant, commanding voice for orchestral, chamber, and solo performance.
