Since 1952, the Heinrich Gill Workshop has been handcrafting violins in Bubenreuth, Germany. The violinmaker Bernd Dimbath purchased the compony in 1990 and embarked on a decades long journey to combine the centuries old traditions with modern and innovative technology.
The Falcon model features European spruce and well-flamed maple, entirely hand varnished in the Gill workshop's master section . The natural tones of the orange -brown spirit varnish, lightly antiqued, are Inspired by the falcon's rust hued feathers. Falcons are known for their incredible speed, and with Gill's special process the violin responds very quickly with a full range of tonal characteristics capable of the most challenging repertoire. Includes setup with ebony pegs and endbutton, Despiau "B" level French bridge, ebony tailpiece with E tuner, Guarneri model ebony chinrest, and Evah Pirazzi strings.
