The traditional version of the NS Design Double Bass is created for experienced upright bassists who want a familiar acoustic feel with the freedom and accessibility of an electric instrument.
Its standard 106 cm acoustic upright bass scale length preserves familiar fingering positions and string tension, making the transition from a traditional double bass comfortable and intuitive. The neck retains a conventional profile, while the compact body provides unrestricted access to the upper register of the fingerboard.
A small brass button on the back of the neck offers a tactile reference for the traditional “D-neck” position. Subtle dot markers provide an additional visual guide for accurate intonation without distracting from the instrument’s clean design.
